For this task, I took one of my best edits from the look up task and used photoshop to mirror and reflect the images to form different shapes within the image, using photoshop. I did this by creating a plain document and pasting my image 3 times, I flipped the images in different directions so they made abstract shapes. I repeated this with different corners of the image in the middle.

Rule of Thirds |
Layers |
Imagine that your image is divided into 9 equal segments by 2 vertical and 2 horizontal lines. The rule of thirds says that you should position the most important elements in your scene along these lines, or at the points where they intersect.

In photography we’re trying to convert a world that exists in 3D onto a flat piece of paper or screen. To create the 3D effect in 2D, it helps to include layers in your composition. If your subject is between layers, you instantly give the feeling of the photo being three dimensional. It also allows the viewer to feel like they’re part of the moment created with the image.

TrianglesTriangles are a good way of grouping elements of an image and organising them so they suggest stability. Three key elements of the composition creates a triangle and establishes a relationship between the objects.
|
Balancing ElementsBalance your image by having something on one side of your image that takes up a similar amount of space as something on the other side of the frame without it being symmetrical. In this image the visual ' weight' of the road sign is balanced by the building on the other side of the shot.

Christian Gastaldi The French artist Christian Gastaldi, born in Sète, France, in 1960, is a painter who substitutes oil and acrylic painting with sections of posters and magasine, replacing brushstrokes with handmade tears. His paintings recompose lines and colours from these torn papers to produce new graphic and poetic compositions.
